Our cabin offers the added convenience of a private parking area located just steps away from the front door. With plenty of space for your vehicle, you can easily park and unload your belongings without the hassle of long walks or searching for parking.
If you’re arriving by launcha, please proceed to our dock near the outdoor dining area. Just ring the bell, and our host will be happy to welcome you upon arrival.
Our inviting outdoor dining area, available as a shared space for all guests, offers a beautiful view overlooking the river. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy meals while taking in the tranquil surroundings.
In this area, you can take a break, enjoy drinks and observe the beautiful place.
We have a mini bar where we sell beers and other drinks that we have to offer.
Overlooking the river, our pavillon is equipped with 3 hammocks for lounging, a large table for meals or to use as a workspace. There is plenty of room for yoga or stretching.
Our spacious pavilion, located on the dock, offers river views and a relaxing retreat to enjoy the natural surroundings. Shaded and open-air, it’s ideal for lounging with a cool breeze while you soak in the scenic waterfront ambiance.
A covered walkway over the water leads you directly to the cabins and marina, providing easy and scenic access throughout the property.
Launchas (water taxis) are available for convenient transport around town. Our team will be happy to arrange this service for you, with fees based on your travel needs.
With secure boat slips available for daily or monthly rental, the marina caters to boaters, adventurers, and guests alike.
The pool area is nestled in the jungle, surrounded by vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and open blue skies.
Our pool area features comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas, providing a perfect escape from the jungle heat. Take a refreshing dip in the pool to cool off and unwind in this tropical paradise.
These signs help maintain order and security, while promoting a friendly and respectful environment for all guests.
At the pool, there are tables and chairs, grills for you to use.
The outdoor bathhouse is conveniently located with its own path to the pool and cabins and by boardwalk leading to the docks.
Our public restrooms are designed to provide comfort and convenience during your visit. Located in a central location, they are easily accessible to all guests, offering clean and well-maintained facilities. Each restroom including hot showers and cold.
The outdoor bathhouse by the pool has three private stalls, each with a shower, toilet, and sink.
The gate is the main entrance. In which you enter with a code.

Happy Iguana Marina Cabin #5 is a cozy, waterfront jungle retreat along the scenic Rio Dulce River, perfect for families, groups, or water enthusiasts. The cabin features two queen-size bed and a set of bunk beds in the living area - comfortably sleeping a small group. Inside, you'll find a full bathroom with a stand-up shower, a kitchen with a fridge and cooktop, and a dining area. The cabin’s windows are screened, and air conditioning is available for added comfort.

At Happy Iguana Marina & Cabins, we strive to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our brand-new pool, completed in June 2024, offers the perfect place to relax, complete with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and two grills for guests to enjoy a casual BBQ. The pool area also features a bathhouse with three showers for your convenience.

Guests have access to convenient parking right next to the cabin and can unwind in the shared dining area overlooking the marina. The property also offers a pavillon, hammocks, and plenty of space to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. For an added touch of convenience, breakfast, lunch, and drinks are available for purchase.

If you're arriving by boat, we have slips available for daily or monthly rentals, and our launchas (water taxis) are ready to take you to nearby destinations. Laundry service is also available for a small fee. We aim to provide everything you need for a memorable and relaxing stay.

Happy Iguana Marina and Cabin is accessible by both land and water, making it an ideal destination to explore Rio Dulce’s natural beauty and vibrant waterways.

Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges (less $20.00 cancellation fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 14 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.

Gary, the owner of Happy Iguana Marina & Cabins, designed and developed the entire property, including the marina, cabins, pool, and restaurant. Originally from the United States, Gary now lives at the marina with his dog, Luna, ensuring a welcoming and well-cared-for space for guests to enjoy.
